Cerdyn Villa – Bed and Breakfast Guest Rooms
Cerdyn Villa Guesthouse is situated on the outskirts of Llanwrtyd Wells and is in a tranquil and picturesque location amidst the Irfon River valley, surrounded by mountains (Epynt, Black & Cambrian Mountains and the Brecon Beacons). It is only 10 minute stroll to the centre of Llanwrtyd, which was voted Best Village in Wales 2009 for its friendliness and community spirit. Our house was built at the turn of the century as a country villa to a coal baron and is now a family home to us and our son, Jason. We offer bed and breakfast accommodation in 2 double en-suite guest rooms. Our guests are treated as friends and can feel at home in our house. We offer the added benefit of free WIFI connectability, TV and DVDs in rooms, tea and coffee facilities and mini fridges in which to store fresh milk and chocolate! Hair dryers and ironing boards are available on request and we are happy to hang or rince muddy clothing should you get wet (yes, even here in Wales!) Local artists exhibit throughout the house and you are welcome to enjoy or buy the pictures to take home with you. Both B&B rooms have en-suites with showers, they are snug and cosy with beautiful mountain views. In the rooms you will find lots of useful local information, but the Tourist Information Centre is just in town and we are also more than happy to suggest and advise on outings and local events. The guest rooms are at the back of the house and overlook fields and mountains. You will often see the local farmer working his sheep dogs and rounding sheep in the field behind the house. In fact, the day we fell in love with this house and decided to move here, the sky had just cleared following a heavy shower, the sun came out, a perfect rainbow filled the sky and the farmer and his dogs were working the sheep. It was an idyllic moment, a snap decision and one we never regret for a moment. The Heart of Wales raliway line station is 2 minutes away and runs between Swansea and Shrewsbury with Llanwrtyd pretty much in the middle. The town itself is tiny, officially we are the 'Smallest Town in Great Britain' and probably only have around 700 inhabitants - smaller than most villages. Having said that, we have a fair selection of good pubs and restaurants as well as 3 acclaimed chefs and a micro-brewery. All well worth a visit
Our standard rate for bed & breakfast is £55prpn based on 2 nights or more and 2 people sharing. One night bookings are charged at £60. Mid week we offer a single occupancy rate of £45. Under 10’s are half price – under 3’s free. We can provide cots, potty and high chair for our very young guests. Out of high season we often have special offers running such as 3 nights for the price of 2 so please feel free to ask when you phone or email us. Also, let us know if it your birthday or anniversary when you are with us - we always like to help the celebrations!
